Advocacy Highland and Partners in Advocacy are undertaking an exciting new project funded by Highland Alcohol & Drug Partnership to provide independent advocacy for adults aged 16+ who have lived or living experience of dependence or recovery relating to alcohol and/or drug abuse. Initially the programme of work will cover Inverness City, northwards to include Dingwall, Alness, Invergordon and south to Carrbridge.
We are looking for enthusiastic and approachable individuals who share our values and commitment to helping empower vulnerable & marginalised people to secure their rights and have their voices heard. Advocacy experience or lived experience of drug/alcohol issues is desirable but not essential. Full training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.
For both posts you will be locally based, working from your own home providing independent advocacy for this exciting new project. You will need to be able to work flexibly, using your own initiative. You must possess a full driving license for business purposes and have access to personal transport. Travel and out of pocket expenses will be paid in addition to salary. The successful applicant will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Disclosure Scotland check and references.
