Referrals

Did you know we can accept referrals for advocacy support by email?

All emails are confidential and are encrypted using Office 365 BitLocker Drive Encryption.  Alternatively you can telephone a member of the team, we have staff all over Highland.  Please contact the Area Co-ordinator where you live.  Contact numbers are available here.

  • Individuals can refer themselves

  • Professionals can refer someone (with the individual’s permission)

  • Friends or Relatives can refer someone (with the individual’s permission)

The basic information we need from you to make a referral to one of our advocates is:

  • Name

  • Address

  • Postcode

  • Phone/Mobile Number (or the best way to contact)

  • DOB

  • What do you need support with?

  • Dates of any meetings coming up

 

We are funded to advocate for people identified under the terms of The Mental Health (Care & Treatment) (Scotland) Act, specifically people with mental ill health, learning disabilities, personality disorders, dementia.

From time to time we secure extra funding for additional short-term advocacy projects.

 

Using your Information
We collect information about you when you request advocacy from us.  This information will be used to help support you with the specific issue you have asked for help with.  Your information is kept safe and secure.
