Advocate – Caithness & Sutherland
£5,720.00 (10 hours per week)
Advocacy Highland is a leading Highland-wide voluntary organisation, providing person-centred advocacy for people with a wide range of complex support needs. We are an organisation driven by strong values and a firm commitment to choice, dignity and social inclusion.
We are seeking someone with excellent communications skills, to provide independent advocacy in Caithness & Sutherland.
It is essential that you have good people skills and are committed to upholding the rights of people who are marginalized by society. It would be beneficial if you have sound knowledge of advocacy and an understanding of the circumstances, which can lead to people needing advocacy support. In particular applicants with either lived experience of drug and alcohol issues or those affected by another’s substance misuse are welcomed.
You will be working from your own home and required to work flexibly using your own initiative.
Post holders must possess a full driving license and have access to personal transport. Applicants will be subject to satisfactory PVG Disclosure Scotland checks.
