Advocacy Area Co-ordinator\u2013 Ross & Cromarty<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a310147.80 – (15 hours)<\/strong><\/p>\n (Funded until March 2019)<\/p>\n Advocacy Highland is a leading Highland-wide voluntary organisation, providing person-centred advocacy for people with a wide range of complex support needs.\u00a0\u00a0 We are an organisation driven by strong values and a firm commitment to choice, dignity and social inclusion.<\/p>\n We are seeking a co-ordinator that has enthusiasm and excellent communications skills, to manage, promote and provide independent advocacy.<\/p>\n It is essential that you have good people skills and are committed to upholding the rights of people who are marginalized by society. You will have a sound knowledge of advocacy and an understanding of the circumstances, which can lead to people needing advocacy support.<\/p>\n You will also be required to recruit, train and support paid and volunteer advocates in Ross & Cromarty.<\/p>\n You will be working from your own home and required to work flexibly using your own initiative.<\/p>\n Post holders must possess a full driving license and have access to personal transport. Applicants will be subject to satisfactory PVG Disclosure Scotland checks.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
