“Thanks for the info you put in at the meeting you did a great job. It sure helps having not to think of everything when so much is going on in your head. We are so pleased to have you speaking for us; I wish we found you years ago. We are sooooo glad to hear that this was the last meeting we would be having; I’m sure things will go a lot better now.

I will give you a shout when I need you. I prefer you being at the meetings anyway, it is like we are not alone in this. It’s so important for us families to have the Advocacy service. So much things get in the way at these meetings and it is hard to focus on everything that is going on and being able to respond. That is why we appreciate you getting our points across and taking that pressure off us. I am one of those people who is not a quick thinker, and as soon as I am on the way home, I wish I picked up on things quicker.

"I approached Advocacy Highland after a year of trying to get a shower fitted for myself and my Mother. She had one hip replacement and needed to get another one. She was unable to get in and out of the bath and had to travel a mile to go and get a shower, she is 79 and quite frail. She was told there was a long waiting list to even see an Occupational Therapist.

“I am writing this to say a huge thank you to Donnie and Advocacy Highland. I don’t know what I would have done without the intervention of Advocacy Highland and Donnie. My first encounter with Advocacy Highland came about because I was turned down by DLA after applying for mobility allowance. I eventually had to go to a tribunal and if I hadn’t had Donnie and Advocacy Highland to support me I don’t think I could have been successful. The second incident was to do with DWP when they stopped my Income Support with no warning or satisfactory explanation. Again Donnie and Advocacy Highland were there to give me support.
